We're already planning on taking most of a year off and hitting the road on a mountain biking sojourn. We want to hit all the cool spots between here (WA state) and, say, Maine. We know about Moab/Fruita, etc...but what are some of the lesser-known spots to check out? |

Check out the trails section, but a reason some might hesitate to address this (other than it not being a poll :-) is that they want to keep their lesser-known spots a bit lesser known. Come on farther South to AZ, and hit Flagstaff, Sedona, Phoenix, etc (local bike shops are helpful in pointing you to the nice trails).
And I've heard Colorado and Southern Utah (St. George, etc.) has nice biking, although I've never actually biked there (except Red Canyon, which is really pretty. |
