High winds + high leaf loads in trees = lots of blowdown. I spent the morning and afternoon clearing widowmakers and chest-high blowdown from the local trails. What was ridable was left alone, the cribable stuff cribbed and everything else cut and left where it fell, where the first two criteria came into play.
I cleaned up one particular nasty mess where a branch had broken and left a sharp end just at head height around a fast DH corner. |
