Hi All,

I hooked up with Chris and Penny for a ride at the Boy Scout Camp in Marin.

Chris' first ride on dirt in two years was a quiet and private affair last week with his wife Penny at China Camp. This day's ride was at the technically more challenging Boy Scout Camp. It's also the locale of that femur shattering fall of two years ago. I feel honored and privileged to have been invited to today's ride. As such, with little sentimentality, we acheived what we set out to do: ride mountain bikes and have some fun.

Welcome back to the world of dirt, buddy.

Is not what you get when you're born in Newcastle, England and live in the Richmond district of San Francisco.

My first shot was titled "Slartibartfast Rides Again". If you can see past the glare off of those pasty legs, there you will find evidence confirming that "Slartibartfast Falls Again". No worries, though, because he fell on the unbroken left leg (although he did break a finger on his left hand in an earlier mishap!)

I like the fact that the Fox Fork he's using is color coordinated with

the bike. Sweet! Attention to detail!

Looks like a fun ride too!
welcome back, Slarts! (nm)celly

Many congratulations. What happened to the "all swathed in bubble-wrap" idea for the first few months?

I'm stoked to see you riding again!!! And that's a fine looking ride you're on too--I guess owning a bike shop has its privleges eh?

Now all you need is some armor (quite badly by the dusty look on your leg)...
