| Who's doing the 24 hours in the Old Pueblo?? | JDAZ Jan 14, 2004 7:14 PM | | Just curious what everyones plans are. My wife and I will be doing it for the first time, heard its awesome. Any input? |
| I am... | Carter Taylor Jan 15, 2004 7:28 AM | | It's a great venue, hard to get in and out though. My only advice is: to ride safe, stay out of the cholla and to have fun.
cya there. |
| I am, and she heard right... | Skinny-Tire Jan 15, 2004 7:52 AM | | The course itself is pretty dull, and pretty long. But the people are great. There are something like 1200 racers, so it's like a small town.
Have you done a 24 hour race before? What kind of team are you on? |
| I am | crash test dummy Jan 15, 2004 8:38 AM | | Tope y las Tortugas - The Dirty Hippie and I have finally got our act together and fielded a team - heck, we even got a sponsor. Can't wait!!! They're making me do the first leg which means I'll be good and drunk for my second lap at 6 or 7 |
| Here is us | crash test dummy Jan 15, 2004 12:04 PM | | Hopefully just lined up a second sponsor so we'll be sporting Frog and Firkin shirts when we're not racing. See ya'll there |
| me too | little b Jan 15, 2004 10:53 AM | | solo for the first time. it's a great race, best 24 hr i've been to. |
| Me, my sister and my nephews | The Sagebrush Slug Jan 15, 2004 12:36 PM | | The two oldest of us total almost 90, the three youngest total half that. :-)
It's a great course, they live in Tucson and have been riding it every now and again. I live in Seattle and haven't been out of the garage in months. :-0
My only advice is camp up the hill unless you want to be breathing large quantities of wood smoke.
Oh yeah, and the woman in hot pink is pretty dang fast, move over to let her by!
