Is a SWAT team in your lobby routine?Rev Bubba

I walk into the building a few minutes ago and there is a NYPD SWAT team with dogs and automatic weapons milling about.

"What's going on?" I ask one of the security guards.

"Oh," he replies, "its just routine."

Yeah, right!

Bike related? Who gives a.... at the moment.
Well I s'pose...®andyA

... it would be if it were a SWAT building. But it sure doesn't sound that way where you are. Hope things are good with you.
Depending on how you define routine, it might be...Rev Bubba

Having experienced terrorist attacks twice at work (no, I do not work in the Middle East, just the good old, "safe" USA) a heavy police presence is becoming more routine than most people realize.

You notice the little things like the "sniffers" at busy locations that could be used to detect bio agents or maybe just "routine" pollution. You don't notice the people who carry small devices to detect surges in radiation but you do note when you think about changing jobs if you might be putting yourself closer to, rather than further away from, ground zero of a possible "dirty bomb" attack. (Word to the wise, stay away from container ports).

You notice when you go somewhere "safe" that there is a larger than expected police force evident. Ski Areas could always make nice targets.

You notice that your local mall is being watched. Could it be a Walmart plot to scare people away?

An interesting world we now live it. It gets more like Europe all the time.
do you still check your pockets when you see law enforcement?Mr Magoo
