Santa Cruz - bottom pivotdownhillLes

My bottom pivot bolt on my Santa Cruz Superlite sheared off. I don't know when it happened. The bicycle shop told me that this was the 6th Santa Cruz bike that they repaired with the same problem. They also said that Santa Cruz now has a new stronger replacement bolt. Has anyone heard of this problem? If I hear from many people, I plan to write to Santa Cruz and ask for reimbursement for the repair and I'll also ask for reimbursement of your repairs as well. I hope no one got hurt because of a bolt shearing off.
There was an article about that pivot bolt...Damion

and the replacement a while back. Sorry, I have been reading mags for so long, they are blurred. I do not think it was a recall, just a more streamlined replacement. I am guessing that your bike is more than 2 yoa.
