Kristie Kon competed in her 6th or 7th 24hr race, the last several being solo. She is one of my regular riding partners, a real fun person who loves to ride. Her schtick at the 24hr races has been showing up and racing with elaborately decorated helmets. This year's entry turned out to be too much of a sail in the windy conditions! It is an Easter basket, stocked with MTB swag and assorted goodies to eat, making it an interactive helmet.

This race, Kristie solicited $/lap sponsors for her solo entry, and for a 5-rider team she organized (Team Charity Case), and donated the proceeds to the Arizona Humane Society. I think she was able to raise close to $2,000. Here's a pic of the backside team jersey.
