Welp, I think I've sufficiently decompressed from this last weekend's 24hours of Adrenalin. The weekend started with a frantic friday trying to get Suzy and my stuff organized and together...food at the store, getting the camping stuff, and all the while trying to figure out how to do TWO sets of everything as we were on different teams! Well, that's a different experience, I'll tell you...and one that'll be hard to repeat. Imagine sharing a tent with someone doing laps in the MIDDLE of your laps, so you get minimum sleep time...needless to say, I didn't sleep much. So friday, we get to Laguna Seca, and sure enough I meet up with my MTBR nerds brethren, drop off the requisite stuff for THAT campsite, and cruise over to the Bella Campsites to get suzy all set up. After that, we rock over to the Jericho Terrordome to hang with Josh and Mark. Nobody knows this, but Bryan Jobe (Chewbacca) has been working on a bike for suzy's 30th birthday for me for about 4 months now and was on his way down to drop it off! What a guy, eh?

Post Cruiser/birthday celebration, we rock over to the Team Hamana area, who are always great guys, super nice, and willing to hook anyone up with a warm place to hang or a frosty beverage. Thanks guys! Saturday morning started out with a bang, with Paul and I setting up camp, getting the E-Z-UPS setup, BBQ out, and chairs assembled. Velo Bella (Suzy's race team) had 3 teams, which won the National All-Female title, the 24 Hours of Adrenalin Title, and 4/9 in the All-Female Category. The team that won the non-national championship consisted of 5 gals on singlespeeds, one of them with the fastest non-national time for women. Velo Bellas were definately rocking the house this weekend, winning basically every individual and team award at the event that was possible for a woman to win. Allison Lowery rocking the first lap.
