"5th World Solo Championships - Whistler, Canada"
24 Hours of Adrenalin – World Solo Championships

This past Labor Day weekend I enjoyed myself as part of the crew of the first Solo Rider on this event from Puerto Rico. Although my athlete got sick (Sinus/Flu Cold) days before the race, anyway he went out; finished 3rd in the Lemans Race and struggle to ride five (5) laps before we call it off afraid of a major health problem.

What an experience!! We were located next to the Timing Tent and what a joy those volunteers had there. Jeep's Frisbees flying all over the place and every time a rider showed up, the support went crazy and those Jeep's cow bells kept us awake. ;)

BTW, what a battle against the clock we saw between Chris and Tinker!

On Thursday, we went out to ride the route. What a technical ride!! and lots of DUST!

On Friday, we setup our pit area, http://www.prcrosstraining.com/img/canada1555.jpg , went to the village for last minute details for the cold night ahead, and then to register and the mandatory meeting. http://www.prcrosstraining.com/img/canada1569.jpg

On Saturday, da' day, we had our blood pumping adrenaline like at a
horse race; every solo rider to the Timing Tent; everyone was called by their name and what country they were riding for. Even a Female Rider (I forgot her name) ran in her 2-pice bikini.

Lemans Start, everyone running up/down the hill, everyone got their MTB and off they went to the prologue. It was exciting seeing Chris E. passing by thru the timing tent as fast as you can imagine on 1st place. WAO!!

Around 11PM my rider was experiencing breathing problems so we stopped him and call for medical assistance. Waited until 2AM and had to call it off. :((

On Sunday, was nice to see a full Dinner Event, lots of food and new friends made. http://www.prcrosstraining.com/img/canadaDSCN1646.jpg

I had few photos of the enthusiasm in the Timing Tent; Lemans Start; Pit Areas; Riders; Excalibur Gondola, etc. I hope to share them later (better resolution) in the Photo Contest area.

But you can have a pre-view @ http://www.prcrosstraining.com/img/carrera/index.htm Enjoy!

Trilife Sports Crew http://www.prcrosstraining.com/img/canadaDSCN1659.jpg knows their game. Thanks for making this race and enjoyable experience. Kudos for a very well-organized event!!

Thanks to Kevin and Kim for their unconditional support to us. We'll see you and the rest of the crew next year!! ;)

Saludos,
Edgar - PRCrossTraining Team
