Hi, here is a photo of my new 29" mountain bike. It is equipped with S & S couplers, that allow the entire bike to fit into a 26" x 26" suitcase. Its full XTR, with easton monkey lite riser bar, etc. etc.
I'm not sure, but this may be the first one ever.

As far as riding impressions go, there is a lot going with custom geometry, 29' inch wheels, going from fs to ht., etc. Riding impressions after I have spent more than 2 hours on trail.

The paint is gorgeous, and I'm glad I finally have a bike that fits me (I'm 6'3").

I have some questions regarding my marzochi shock, but I'll post later when I have time....

Thanks everybody!

Hi, I guess i forgot the basics. it was made by bilenky in philadelphia.

Bilenky.com.

The wheel set is salsa delgado cross rims and xtr hubs with WTB Mutanoraptor tires. 36 spoke, which may be a little overkill, we'll see. (I weigh 205, don't jump, but crash frequently :)
How do 29 inch wheels fit into a 26" x 26" suitcase? nmChuck D

Then you only have to deal with the 700c rim diameter which is less than 26"s and the tire material which should allow for that to happen. Or perhaps he takes off the tires. A 26" x 26" suitcase is a pretty good trick for a full size bike though. Good on ya.

My FS 29"er fits in a 30"x30" case that I made for it 3 years ago but I have to undo the shock.

Hi, you got it. Here's proof. Where did you get a 30 x 30 case? The one bad thing about the 26x26 case is that the left crank arm has to come off. Not good...

I had the bag made by a friend that sews here. Used some thin fiberglass reinforced plastic as side liners.

Another folding option coming available soon is that Slingshot is starting making 29"ers. www.slingshotbikes.com. They will have a bike at Interbike in the White Bros. booth----

Also 2melow posted awhile back on another forum about the Ritchey folding frame that looks really slick. Not sure about 29" production on that model though.

The ability to travel with a bike that is also REALLY a bike is not a huge market. But if you don't give up any performance to gain the option it makes it more attractive for sure.
