| Epic Ride for next year? | Cronometro Sep 27, 2002 3:04 PM | | This may be premature but is there any interest in an epic ride for 29"er's and friends? Looking for next late spring/early summer. Maybe something in the central states. A rip off of the IMBA epic concept. Let me know if there is interest and when and where. If there is enough interest I might organize one. Let me know. |

Or we could all enter one of the races, I would love to enter the main event, if they'd let me.
So what are your thoughts, about that Epic? I don't know IMBA. |

| re: Epic Ride for next year? | Cronometro Sep 27, 2002 4:30 PM | | OK, I am looking to see if there is interest and what 29"ers would like in a event like this. I am not trying to cram IMBA or any other thing down anyone's throat. I am thinking of a laid back event maybe tent camping at the ride site (like IMBA). Some informal swapping of parts etc. Some home brew, if I can find time to brew some. Some good stories and good riding. If you don't like the Idea of helping build/fix a trail it's cool. Let me know what you would like to see and when, where etc. If there is interest and it looks doable I will try to get something going. Thank you for your time. |

I think if we got "Critical Mass" (50-100 riders?) you might also have the possiblility of press coverage in the mags, and maybe some vendor interest. I'm sure somebody from GF and White brothers are lurking, what do you all think..... |
