Nice Bike. How do the rocket shifters work? I'm thinking about a pair for myself.
No answer, but a speclistCloxxki

To be sure, Rockets are Shimano-compatible. 210g +-5g, which makes them close (+10g) to X.O shifters that are ESP-specific.
Well, I just did a few rounds of the block, hard to notice anything. Iwas trying to focus on the wheels, you see. Can say much about the fork, shifters, wheels, bar, anything yet. Will report on the Rockets later on.

My specs :

SuperCal29 XL frame, about 1650g.
Marathon fork, about 1800g.
XTR rear der, out of 2 broken ones, couple of light bolts.
XT cranks plus 113/73 BB
XT front derailer
U.S.E. Alien alu seatpost
Repaired SLR seat
Eggbeaters
XT/WTB wheels
Avid SD7 brakes (cheap, light and goooood)
XT brakelevers
SRAM Rocket shorties
XTX carbon bar (€33-odd only, 120g, alloy reinforced ends)
WCS -17 degree stem 90mm, some light bolts
Chris King headset
WTB Nanoraptor tires, WTB tubes

That's about it. Surprisingly light, WCS, U.S.E. and some other parts are meant for the custom bike I'm building disc-only to be well under 10kg soon.

That Nanoraptor before it makes you crash.
SRAM SRS Attack/9.0-XO shifters are the best!!!!!!

I'm used to riding FastFred, why would a Nano crash me?
I also have a pile of Moto's, 2 Mutano 44's and a single Notos to play with...

My other niner will have an X.O drivetrain, and I have two 26" hardtails with Attacks, hooked up to a dura-Ace and a Tiagra derailer. I KNOW they are great :-)
These Rockets by the way kinda feel like X.O's to me.

From the looks of the pic above - The front Nano tire is on backwards. Look at the sidewall for the direction arrows.

Cheers

Aaaaah, it was late, long work at the shop, overexited, you see...

Is this a bad thing? I have a habit of using tires like this. Know what, I'll try this way some more and then switch to the correct direction, see if I even know the difference.

Stupid me. I do use rear tires backwards sometimes, this was the front. I flipped the wheel before the ride, and I did notice the difference :-)
Dude, you trimmed too much fat off of that saddle!2melow

Can't be comfortable, can it?

Sweet ride, glad you finally got it!

SLR's are very fragile. Don't ever park yor bike this seat against a wall! I have one from the first production, 136g actual, next shipping was 147g+ consistentky. Not sure what they improved on that.
I tried the seat in a race, was used to a well-ridden Flite-with-red-logo-on-the-back, and I was okay with it. Hollow ti rails make up for a lot! Great race seat, less so for real endurance. But hey, I can't bear to ride too long, starting a ride from my home, scenery is not quite like outside your kitchen window!
