Definative List of 29er manufacturers(11 posts)

Definative List of 29er manufacturersncj01

Could we get a thread going for everyone to jump in and list as many 29er manufacturers as possible? I only know of Fisher, Moots, and Matt Chester......links would be great too. Also if possible forks, wheels, etc. For instance, I only like ceramic rims....which manufacturer offers 29" rim in ceramic......I know there was a FAQ thread below, but I don't think it listed these kinds of info...thnx

Willits: Wes is the main force behind the 29"er and has been building them the longest.
Hunter Cycles; Vicious Cycles; Surly in a few months; Kelly and those are just off the top of my head.

Just a few forks and tires out there right now.

Wheels are 700c.

Everything else are just bike parts.

I used to have this list over at 29er, now seems to be wasted. I'll re-make this list in the future site, to get the ultimate 29"-approved manufacturer- and product list.
that sounds good I'm looking to....ncj01

buy one this fall/winter, and I really want to make the best choice
the first time out. I know fisher may be the safest choice, but i don't want to change my mind after a few weeks of ownership becuase i find out about something else cool i didn't know about......thx,n
Hunter 29" full suspension Racing Couchflyweight

Here's perhaps the ultimate niche bike: a full-suspension, single speed, 29" MTB! The suspension is sort of a hybrid between a Slinghsot and a Moots. Interesting to say the least. No word on how well it works. Hunter is a big name in the Nor Cal cyclocross scene and his bikes are very sharp.

Hunter's are indeed spiffy. Mines at the top...martini

on the main page here. The one the left. Right next to my WTB(nice in it's own right). The racing couch does indeed look like an intereseting ride. In my conversation with Rick for my frame we talked about the racing couch. He tried to talk me into it, and nearly did. Couldn't do it for two reasons. Money. Full suspension in Minnesota doesn't make too much sense. Especailly a 29" fs. No matter though. Rick ended up building me a frame and fork. I got everything I asked for. I love my bike!

Mavic makes 700c Ceramics

Make sure the Fisher geometry fits you. The others like Willits use a more classic geometry.
