i'm finally gonna do it. i just ordered a set of 29" wtb naners- the atlantis is going to live up to its potential.
i'd purchased the frame as a touring/commute bike, and i really don't have as much standover as i'd normally like for offroad, but you guys have convinced me to try it!
we'll see next weekend.

rsd,

Sitting in the basement, all alone, on a beautiful Friday night - with a beer, of course - looking at a stock XC and wondering what you could possibly do that will allow this frame to accept a increased wheel size. I give up. Obviously, I need a new bike. 8)

Hey man, I know your pain! Getting into 29" really makes you want one, an expensive virus! On the other hand, it's a great chance to start enjoying biking to the full again, give it an extra edge.
Only thing you can do to your bike to make it kinda-29" is to do what I did on my frankenbike, rigid fork and 29" wheel. Pic somewhere down below this forum. A nice in-between, makes you overcome the time till you('re able to) take the plunge and get a true niner.
Now that I have my SuperCal29, I love it so much that I, lazy as heck, for the first time picked up nightbiking, just to asap get some riding time in. I now hate myself for waiting so long, I could have had this fun many months earlier!
