i am considering ordering one of these bikes through my LBS...BUT i need to know what size to order first!...i was told that a PDF file with the frame specs could be down loaded off their website but i cant down load files(im on webtv)...so could someone please tell me what the stand over, top tube lengths(actual AND effective), and any and all the other specs about this frame!!??...also please let me know what you think about the ride/handeling characteristics of this bike...i am interested in the small and medium sizes so i can make an informed decision...thank you very much!

how are those measurements taken??...center to center, center to top....how is the top tube measurement taken actual or effective(horizontal with the ground)?...do you own a Buzz Bomb?...if so do you find the cockpit a bit cramped?....by the looks of those specs it sure looks like some fairly short top tubes(can you tell i like a stretched out cockpit!!)?!...thats a shame because my LBS was shooting me a pretty fair deal on one of these bikes..oh well if it wont fit theres no use in buying one just to look at!!LOL

TT is effective, C-to-C. ST is actual, center to top of collar.

I own a 19" buzz bomb. I find that for myself I like a more upright riding position. In stock form the buzz bomb is one of the more modern upright riding position bikes I've ever ridden, which makes me very happy. I would guess it would do the opposite for you.

On a different note for anyone who cares I actually had a rohloff hub mechanical on a ride. The mechanism that transmits the shifting to the hub broke off when I believe a bolt snapped (on a slow climb!?) and left it stuck in the gear it was in, as the twist shifter spun free. I was actually able to fix it with a zip tie and it's working so flawlessly I'm in no hurry to repair it properly. I just thought it was interesting that the 'bombproof' rohloff system had such a problem. Admittedly there are no problems inside the hub itself.

I was messing around with measurements on the buzz bomb. It turns out the stock stem is 90mm and I'm running it with +5 rise. I would guess a 120mm stem with -5 rise to make it parallel to the ground might make it feel more like a normal length cockpit.

what is the standover measurement on your 19"frame from the middle of the top tube straight down to the ground?

My bike is currently wearing motoraptors. Shorn thusly, the measurement you asked for is 83cm or 22 3/4".

my LBS quoted me $1750...not quite the "blow-out" $1000-$1400 deals that i had been hearing people getting them for on ebay...BUT still better than the original MSRP of about $3000!!...also if i bought one through my LBS i would get the unconditional warranty and service through my LBS should anything go wrong(they have taken care of me everytime in the past with flying colors)..plus my LBS would go over the whole bike to make sure everything was adjusted right before letting me have it...thats worth something!...also my LBS said that VanDessel said that there were enough parts to build about 10 more bikes(Buzz Bombs)...but that every size was still available as of right now...so better act quick if your gonna get one!...so to answer your question..i dont see why you couldnt get one for well under $2000 at least...i would bet you could probably get one for around $1500-$1600 realistically if you searched around and price matched.
