...yet.
This is the new Airborne B-29 ti hardtail handmade in China. Before you scoff at China take a look at the craftsmanship. This was, by a longshot, the prettiest frame I saw in Vegas. The attention to detail is second to none, from the sculpted dropouts to the machined seatstay bridge, right down to the disc brake cable guides and the chain hanger(!).
Only two have been made as of this writing. They're being tested for four weeks. If no changes are required they'll go full production after that. Expect (realistically) a delivery date around the first of the year. Retail price will be $1399 for the frame.
I'll try to upload other photos that show the frame detail. |

| re: Airborne B-29 | Mikec Oct 10, 2002 9:52 AM | | please disregard the above naked dropout photo--it's from one of Airborne's road bikes. I've been trying to upload several photos of the 29" mtb, but with very little success. I'll try again later when I feel smarter. |

| Chinese Titanium | flyweight Oct 11, 2002 7:41 AM | | Only an ill-informed idiot would scoff at the quality of Chinese titanium work. The people who make Airborne bikes also make the Long March rockets that put more satellites into space than NASA and next year will put a Chinese astronaut into space. The welds on every Airborne I've seen are just as nice as anything made in the USA. Also the visual aesthetics of a weld are no indicator of weld quality (you should see the welds on most aircraft!) |

| Sooo.....did they forget to print the adult sizes? | Cloxxki Oct 11, 2002 1:51 PM | | Sorry for the sarcasm, but why even bother making a 29" frame with a 19.5" largest size? |
