| SNOWCATS | Banks Oct 10, 2002 5:59 PM | | Get them from Simon @ All Weather Sports in Alaska.
Hard to get at times; I have 3 pair on order since early 2001.
Very light weight!! |
| SNOWCATS | chuckc71 Oct 10, 2002 6:24 PM | | Oh, I've heard of them. Didn't know they made them in 700c. I wonder how much they weigh. Anyone?
Thanks! |
| All Weather Sports is out of business | AK Ken Oct 11, 2002 6:57 AM | | They had 2 stores in Fairbanks; one is empty and the other is closing at the end of October. Simon was at Interbike when I stopped in the store, but the kid at the counter said he'd probably still be dealing with Snocat rims.
You might wanna make contact soon and find out how to keep in touch with him.
AWS has been a little oasis in the wilderness for a long time. I'm sorry to see them go.

| Strange. I saw Simon at Interbike | 2melow Oct 11, 2002 8:01 AM | | and he didn't mention anything of the store closing. He did have snowcat rims in tow, so i'm sure he will stick with that for a while... |
| Strange. I saw Simon at Interbike | Mikec Oct 11, 2002 9:04 AM | | Yup, AWS is closing their doors. Simon is one of the very few who is escaping retail. He's going to do Snowcats and bike service/repair work, but I'm not sure if it'll be out of the same building or not. |
