My LBS let me ride his personal Moots 29 YBB last night. His build was top notch at around 25lbs.

The moots was superior in every aspect over my Santa Cruz Superlite. The large wheels allowed me to choose almost any line even really loose shell climbs. Never spun out once. The larger wheels and extended wheelbase were actually faster downhill than my 4+ inches on the Superlite. The YBB really soaks up the smaller stuff.

The only thing I noticed was be careful standing while cranking uphill due to the longer wheelbase. With the YBB, staying seated worked perfectly for me.

The major issue would be the stratospheric cost of the moots. Best bike I have ever ridden including all of the boutique 26" titanium mountain bikes.

Props to Erik with Slippery Pig Bikes in PHX, he really made my day.
