Jun 3, 2003 7:16 AM | | The 20th edition of the Rage in the Sage was held this past weekend. Pretty disapointing turnout actually, felt sorry for the promoters who have to work just as hard for a hundred people as 400---
It poured hard a couple of times on Sunday morning for the two lappers (42 miles) and it got pretty crappy although Hartman's drains pretty well. Here is a picture of crussell after he got done taking his licks. He was pretty darn chilly and headed for some warm clothing for sure. Those 5% body fat types get cold quick! Not a worry with yours truly. I believe he ended up 5th in the semi-pro's the day after racing hard at a cup series race. He loves his Titus! It sure is a sweet machine. |

Jun 3, 2003 7:24 AM | | They chopped a section of the course for the afternoon but probably could have gone with it as it all broke up about 11:30 and the sun came out strong. It drys fast there at Hartman's.
My son raced the Junior class with his buds. He came in 4th and his one friend also named Travis who is quite the young rider had the afternoon hot lap that was 3.5 minutes faster than any of the other classes. Here is the start picture. The front line here finished in pretty much the same order from left to right except switch the middle two. It was only a 14 mile race after they chopped 7 miles out of the course. |

Jun 3, 2003 7:35 AM | | Saw one other 29"er there being ridden by a vet? class rider. He was about 5'6" on a small Fisher. Didn't get a chance to speak with him however.
Well if anyone can ever make it to this race you would not regret it. They are having a 24hr race there in September which should be a good one. Well one more picture and then back to work! |
