Jun 9, 2003 11:25 AM | | as a shop owner and someone who rides his 29" like it's going out of style, let me inform you that if you buy from a local shop and show some love they will tend to listen to you when stocking and pricing. The tires(29") are a gamble to stock due to undercutting internet "shops". Remember...if you don't support the local kids...they'll have a hard time hooking you up when you need something in a pinch. Just some food for thought. |

I think I want to buy a couple of those Kendas, but I would guess no SF bay area lbs is stocking them yet. Anyone know differently? |

I agree with Eroman, support your local store if possible, but they have to know their clients needs and anticipate them also. 29" tires have been available for 4 years now afterall and it is not like there are that many styles to choose from for stocking purposes. |

I was reading another thread about what people think or say when people see the the 29er. I just laugh when I go the bike shop and ask 29er questions and they say--"they are really cool. here is a last years mt tam on sale. unless you want some 700c road tires for it, that is all the 29er stuff we have"
I guess the hype hasn't hit Indy yet. |
