Good memory!!

The Gunnar was a great bike, that is certain.

I too had heard of post slippage, but in truth, mine never slipped at all.....and I'm fairly healthy (at the time of riding that bike, I was 200 LBS and 6'1").

I was checkin' that frame on ebay, looks nice, but a couple concerns. It was repainted, suggesting its been around the block a few times, probably older, probably not a disc tab....

Price looks good last time I checked though....

Here's a pic of my last 26" hardtail:
Thanks for the exposurenimble

It was repainted because paint was chipping off too easy, applied too thick??? They repainted it free. Also the seat post has never slipped. The reason I am selling is the bb heigth issue.
I like the fishers handling better... lower bottom bracket.
If I ride gunnar for a while & go back to fisher...I hit every rock in the forest with my pedals.
The gunnar is 4 months older than my mt tam. I have used the mt tam 80% of the time.
haha, Yup!appleSSeed

I had my gunnar a bit before you I think. That's one of the reasons I went 29er. Fell out of the weight weenie thing, got into SSing. Then, meandered over here and saw your handle. Asked a couple questions to you and figured if it was good for you, it was good for me. I think we're similar size and both like long top tubes. Here's the evolution of my Gunnar to 29'er.

briefly to this cannondale, another great bike....still had the gunnar ss...decided to sell cause the ENO slipped and the seatpost and it was frustrating.

then I rode at bonktoberfest with a bunch of crazy SS'ers and I missed my singlespeed. my brakes messed up on my cannondale cause of an improper bleed and I was lucky enough to ride someone elses ride, an old steel bike that I rode like a SS cause the shifters were so old and not so good. they all had surlys though and I lusted after them...but not the short top tube. come to find out the monkeys had longer top tubes so it was an obvious choice. and here's the current ride....

damn this is way too long, hell while I'm at it, here's my road singlespeed..don't have any pictures of it's companion..the giant tcr2

and a picture of ghostface killah for the cherry on top
DEFINATELY MY VOTE FOR POST OF THE WEEK...HELL YEAR!! (nm)ncj01
