| disc brake slotted dropouts dimensions | DavidB Jan 8, 2004 2:39 PM | | Does anyone have a CAD or simular type of drawing with the dimensions to make a disc brake sloted, single speed, dropouts and also have a derailure hanger. Or more exactly I want to copy the dropouts from a surly Karate Monkey. |

| Eccentric BB with SS discs, verticle dropouts | n8ofire Jan 9, 2004 7:33 AM | | THIS is the best way to go in my opinion. |
| re: disc brake slotted dropouts dimensions | Winky Jan 9, 2004 8:15 AM | | You can buy drop outs from surly and just weld them on.

As for EBB, these case the geometry to vary throughout it's rotation and add masses of weight to a frame.
One of the biggest problems with 29ers at the moment is weight without talk of EBB's. Alot of maufatures are moving from these to other solutions. On-one for example.

| the beSSt option, IMHO, is sliding dropouts like rolhoff | offroadie Jan 9, 2004 3:51 PM | | solves the chain tension and disc caliper alignment issue quite elegantly. see the new kona explosif frame at www.konaworld.com if you don't know what i'm talking about. |
