What Rim/Hub/Wheelset for XC/flat land ridingHellMuttCracker

I am looking into getting a custom Sycip 29er with gears and I was planning on building the wheels to be as light as possible, what should I use? I was thinking ChrisKing for weight, but XT is best bang for the buck, as far as rims go I don't know what's available. I know Bontrager makes 29" wheelsets I don't know of any others. I want to know what rims I should use on my next bike. Which would you choose Sycip, or IF, or anyothers...(besides vanilla)

King or American Classic for weight. XT is ok but not really light.

I have heard good things re Salsa DelGado rims. They come in 18 or 32 hole versions. IF the Bonti's are anything like the 26" line then they are going to be nice too. If you are going disc they have a disc only rim to get that clean look. And.. if you are going disc there are deals on Mavic SpeedCitys that are very nice. I have even seen them used with caliper brakes.

I am 6'5"/230lbs. and going to try the Speed City's in an "all mountain" scenario. I will let everyone know how it goes. Just waiting for a deal on a XL Monkey with gears.

Hope some of this helps.
