The new Digital TIG welder is in house and have been researching jigs and tubing. BOY THIS IS GONNA BE FUN !!!

My daughter (50 pounds and in need of a custom 24" wheeled XC bike) will get #1 then I will build myself a new CX bike, then my non-sus corrected MTB after that. All probably coming some time in early March. Ti should be sometime this summer when the new shop is built, by then I should be totally burned out and even grumpier and harder to deal with than I am now...

Tubing is still up in the air at this point but I will be buying several "practice" tubes until I can settle in on a good supplier.

The good news is that rigid forks should be a breeze...I can finally have my 425mm beauty !!!

Tom,

Congratulations on getting motivated to build your own framesets. Having built several on my own, luged and tig (only two have survived guess which ones?) I don't envy the learning curve you are about to embark on. Post some progress pics when you get the chance.

Best of Luck,

Erik

I"m guessing a lugged fork wouldn't work but it would look hot if it was made the same way as those fat-type forks.

Who makes titanium 29er forks anyway? with a disc mount?
Luggs?escamillo

I understand OX Brand Ti bikes makes a Ti fork but have yet to see one of the mythical beauties on anyones bike.

But if luggs are what your interested in Richard Sachs is now offering his luggs to the public. I know these are for road bikes, but ohh there so nice.

AppleSSeed had asked who makes a Ti fork. Spicer Cycles can make and have them listed on their website for $299..

I've heard that True North Cycles in Kitchener Ontario will make a custom Ti fork. Try contacting them.

I would like a Ti rigid fork...Morati?Kolo

The Czech company Morati do Ti disc forks for 26" MTBs and someone reported here a while back (Cloxxi?) that they were able to do custom. That leads me to deduce they will do a custom 29" Ti disc fork.

Note the sentence "custom modifications also available".
