Hi, I am volunteering next weekend for our fat tire fest at Oleta river state park in Miami.

I'm helping out on the night ride and am in charge of the "poker run". I thought that usually involved hiding some beers on the trail but I can't do that since minors are involved. what do you do?

THANKS! Token 29er content. Which 29er should i do it on?

(and why won't my photos load???)
what is a poker run?1 Speed

It generally consists of stops along a route that someone will hand each rider a playing card. At the end of the ride, the person with the best hand wins.

If you want to spruce it up and drop beer bombs in secret spots along the way, even better. Then it'll be a drunk Poker Run.

Have fun,

Mr. Voss;
I used to participate in Poker Runs on a motorcycle. It is a way to join in an organized ride/event without your skill level being the deciding factor of success or failure. The setup is easy. A marked course and five stops. One stop can be the start point, and one can be the end point and you will only need three stops in between. Or you can cloverleaf the course and use just one stop five times. When you stop at the point you either throw a dart at a large board with the 52 cards stapled on them, or I have seen clear plastic pill bottles with a corner of the card showing the suit and number placed in a large pickle bucket with a hole cut in the top, and you draw your card. The scorecard is kept by the participant and annotated by the volunteer at the stop point with one of four hole punches each one was the shape of a suit.ie hearts,spades,clubs,diamonds. The scorecard was the size of a 3x5 card and it had Ace,2,3,4 thru king. If the rider drew the 3of spades, the spade hole punch marked a spade near the 3. When the participant was finished with the course he had a poker hand. Prizes are then passed out to the best hand on down. The worst rider could win the event. Lots of fun
Hope this helps

Treated myself to a second 29er frame. For some reason I couldn't get the pictures to post.

Long live big wheels!
