How do I do this? Stupid Question, but I've always set chains up on Hardtails not full suspensions. Any tips or advice? How do I do this?

Thanks-
Sam

By "set chains up" I assume you mean installing a new chain and getting the chain length right? Don't worry about the bike being full suspension- just install the chain as you always have and it will be fine.

depends on a couple factors, I think. The more suspension travel, the more the chain tightens up on full compression. This can be a problem if you're radically cross chained (big/big combo) or even if you're just in the big cog on the rear and hit a drop or hard compression the chain can suck the derailleur into the spokes.

You can remove the shock completely so that you can test absolute full compression (tie wrap the rear wheel to the seatpost in the fully compressed position), wrap the chain around big/big, and cut to fit. In reality, this may be longer than you'll need, but it for sure is the longest you'll need.

Some diagrams show wrapping big/big and adding 2 links.

On long travel bikes, in particular. Go big-big, and cycle the suspension, checking chain tension.
