Here in Northern California we have 20+ High School XC Clubs/Racing Teams with Girls who race (they bring something very special to the mix, believe me.) We are organizd uner an umbrella organization called Norcal Racing: http://norcalhighracing.org/
I know that this is on the other side of the country but it is important to understand that this organization is totally created by volunteers who simply thought it was a good idea and made it happen.
