Like Damion noted, the weight savings by the ti pieces (brake posts and other hardware/bolts/8 in total) was probably not much, tho the shock DID have a butted aluminum steerer and the crown was also machined out for extra lightness, as well as a magnesium fork brace. Oh, and did i mention the carbon adjuster rods? advertised weight was 2.4 with the plain mag21 a hefty 2.8lbs. I am by no means an expert on this stuff, just reading it from the magazine ad.
