Time for a stupid newbie question! :)Newbie95

I just recently got back into mountain biking and bought an IBEX Alpine 450, which has the RockShox Judy C fork. So far it's a great bike at a great price.

Here comes the stupid part... get ready... LOL

When the shock is compressing, it sounds as if there is air escaping from around the preload adjuster. Is this normal?
probably just the fluid going through the valvesadam

hydracoil judys have fluid inside to dampen them, the noise is probably just that fluid going through the valves, check to see if any fluid is coming out near the top caps or preload adjusters, if it is, you've got problems, if not, enjoy.

if it is a coil/elastomer fork, which I think it is, forgetaboutit and ride. that is just oil flowing thru. If you see any oil leaking, is a different story........
