Help with FSR Enduro Bushing replacement(3 posts)

Help with FSR Enduro Bushing replacementvtRat
Dec 29, 2003 12:39 PM
I've got a '99 FSR Enduro (even though Specialized has informed me that model year doesn't exist) that needs new bushings. I've got the replacement kit, my question is: what's the best way to remove the old bushings? Anything I need to look out for?

Thanks!

I have a 99 fsr extreme that had plastic bushings but after 4 sets of bushings were sent to me of which none were the correct dia. I gave up and ordered sealed bearings from BTD. Wonderfully smooth and plush. If your bushings work ok then pry up the plastic with a small screwdriver working slowly and carefully all around untill they pop out. Don't worry if they chip or break as you will be replacing them anyway.

Thanks fsr. I had considered the bearing kit, but I don't want to put more money into this frame than I have to. I figure I have another season or two on it before I upgrade to something else. Gotta start saving my pennies. :)
