Jan 9, 2004 7:25 PM | | I recently bought a frame on Ebay that came with the front derailleur installed. The bike had a crankset with 104/64 BCD chain rings. I want to install a compact crankset with 94/58 BCD chain rings.
My question is do I need to move the front derailleur?
I am wondering if the diameter of the rings is the same and just the bolt center diameter is different. THen I don't move the derailleur.
If I do have to move it can I just drop the derailleur 10mm down?
Any help greatly appreciated!
