How do I take my pedals offSped

I have these new clip pedals but before I clip in I want to get used to the bike.. so I want to swap my old pedals with the cage onto my new bike.. but I can't figure out how to get the damm things off.. what sort of tools do I need.. how are they attached?

If you have Time Atac pedals then you might be able to get away w/ a 6mm hex. The slot will be on the opposite side of the crank arm (facing the frame) then follow the directions from the park tool site.

How i remember is keeping the tool level turn the cranks as if you were pedaling to remove. And backpedal to tighten. This means that the drive side is going to be revese threaded.

remember which way to spin the wrench is "Back off, man.". Spin the wrench to the rear of the bike to remove pedals... BTW, a good Park (brand name of good quality bike tools) pedal wrench is i wise investment.
