| First race tonight. Will I figure out this moto cr@p? | namaSSte Aug 13, 2003 9:45 AM | | I have looked allofver the net and kinda get the transfer stuff but it's really intimidating to be honest. My little guy is going to race as well so it should be a blast assuming we can figure this out.
That said, what do I REALLY need to know going into this race and does anyone have a simple explanation of how a 2 moto transfer works??
Thanks all! Peace.

Have fun!!!!

In the transfer system (be it 2 or 3 motos) there are x number of riders from each race that will transfer to the main (or semi). The number of riders taken from each race is listed on the moto sheet (upper right hand if I remember correctly). Once you transfer you do not race again untill the semi, if you have one, or the main. For exmple: They are taking 2 riders from moto1 and 2 riders from moto2. You win the first race. You are finished racing untill the semi or main. Example 2: Same scenario. You finish 3rd in the moto1. You must now finish first or second in moto2 to go on tho the semi or main. (If there is a semi once again they will take a certain number of riders from that semi to race in the main.) I hope I haven't confussed you too much because it gets trickier.
If there are only 3 riders in your class then you do not do a transfer, you do a total points race. In the total points race you race 2 motos and the main (if it is a 3 moto race you skip the third moto). The number of points decides the winner (1st = 1point, 2nd = 2pts, etc.. The least number of points wins.
Hope this helps more then confuses. |
