We are having some trouble with surface smootheness, rocks, transitions, etc... We are looking for some answers that aren't going to cost a fortune. Fort Wayne BMX is an outdoor track in Northeastern IN.

|  re: bmx track maintenance tips | ironlegsracer Sep 8, 2003 5:55 PM | | A solid drum roller is what we used.They rented one for a day.We used it for the regional.Also don't sweep the track if you can help it.That brings rocks to the surface.Thats from our rockiest/oldest track in the country.At least as of last year.This year we got a new track.It was supposed to smoother.Nope same ole dirt.Alabama dirt is full of rocks.

My personal theory is to just water it and let the riders pack it down. Also, what do we do about those areas that have washed out from the heavier rains? That seems to be the other major problem.
