Avid 2.0's-weak springs......Crazy_Dave

Just finished cleaning all the dirt and crud out of my brakes, and when putting them back on the frame, noticed the return spring hardly had any tension with the pin in the middle hole. And this was with the adjusters turned almost all the way in. Put the pin in the top hole & have plenty of tension-would like them a little looser, but the adjusters are now all the way out. Anyone had luck bending the return spring-seems kind of brittle-don't want to snap it in two.
It's OK -- bend the springsSpar†¡cus

I've bent them by hand before. No problems. Remount the brakes in the center hole, then bend the springs by hand.

Ta ta,
