Non IS disc mount to IS adaptor(4 posts)

Non IS disc mount to IS adaptorDawg

Hi. I have a K2 Noleen Chubby LT fork on my bike. I bought a set of disc brakes and found out that the mount is not IS. The eyelets are too close together and are too small to fit the correct screws. Does anyone out there know of an adaptor I can use to correct this problem? Thanks a lot.

We have one on the drawing board, but you'll also need an older style disc hub, as the chubby legs are too umm.. Chubby and will hit the rotor mounting bolts and possible the disc rotor itself.

Old formula hubs and the magura type DT Hugi hubs had the correct spacing for chubbies...
Magura made some adapters once.. but they are like hans teeth now!
Hence why I am planning on doing a run of them... The chubby compatable hubs are rare too now, so I suggest that you plan on having a couple of mm machined off the disc mounting flange before you build your wheels.

Later,

Hammer.

After all the hassle you will go through it would be easier just to get a newer fork. Plus it will ride much better than the Chubby. I ran into the same problem with my old White Brothers fork, so I ditched it for a Rond....now it's time for a beefier fork, so I'm getting a Mid-Ego.....buttery smooth.
