| Rattling Louise lever fix. | Mike T. Sep 21, 2001 5:12 AM | | Two days ago "XCRider" posted a question about how to cure rattling 2000 Louise levers. I e-mailed Jimi at Magura USA and this was his answer -
"If this is for the 2001 Louise & Gustav levers the fix is to just unscrew the reach adjust bolt until it comes out. Then the blade where it splits will come out so it is accessible. Simply bend the pieces where it splits out a bit so therefore it fits tighter. Then there is no more rattle.
If it is for a 99' or 2000 Louise then simply put a 0.2mm shim under the blade and between the m/c body at the blade pivot bolt. This will take away most of the rattle here to."
So there you have it XCRider - use the same 0.2mm shims that you use to shim the caliper.
