my friend tom posted below about getting some maguras to work on his 1992 ibis trials comp, but as you may recall he was trying to mount them on u-brake studs. he flipped the evo mounts upside-down and filed them out to fit over the fatter posts, but then the pads were so far from the rim that they could gain no purchase. someone asked for pictures of the bike so people could come up with better solutions; the pictures are below. some of them are useful for this topic, others less relevant to this discussion are there for everyone's amusement.
