Hydrolic: 4 bolt pattern VS 6 bolt patternTheminh

Friends,

A friend of mine wants to sell his 4 bolt pattern brake system. What's the performance wise, the futur of this technology and its market versus the international 6 bolt pattern brake system? Will I be able to upgrade to a 6 bolt pattern with a minimal cost and easy to find parts?

Thanks in advance

Basically you'll be stuck forever with your hubs and rotors.

Depending on the brake model and year you may be able to use your calipers and levers with other hubs, but I can't guarantee it as horizontal spacing could also be out.
