Help adjusting Hayes hydraulics.....1WD

How do I adjust the lever feel of my hayes and then manage to keep it that way.

Numerous time I've adjusted the brakes w/ the business cards as hayes recommends. For a while they feel fine. By the end of the ride they are right back where they started. Hardly any throw, my puny hands don't like reaching that far.

I prefer a soft lever feel, I can get it for a little while, what can I do to keept it.

Thanks in advance.
Dave

i use the same setup but have never had that that resetting problem. Perhaps you could try to remove a bit of fluid from the system. Also make sure your pads are properly aligned. Sorry i cant give you any definit answers.

Also sometimes funny things happen when the lever reach (via the set screw) is set too close to the bars. You could try backing them off slightly before screwing with the fluid.
Maybe I'll play w/ the lever screw some more.....thanks....nm1WD
