New brakes for iDrive before I hit a tree! :-)(3 posts)

New brakes for iDrive before I hit a tree! :-)JAL
Sep 24, 2001 10:22 PM
Looking to replace the Avid Digit 3 "brakes" on my GT iDrive 3.0 (especially the rear). Anyone with some recommendations or experiences to share? Been looking at the Avid Mechanicals but if anyone has had good experiences with some other mechanicals or Vs (or even modifying the Digit 3s) on iDrives I'm all ears.

Thanks!

I have an i-drive 3.0 and here in Italy it comes stock with Formula B4 disc brakes, and it works fine.
I suggest you to change Avid with Formula.
Ciao.

I have a I-drive 3.0 here in California.

I replaced my crap single digit 3's with avid arch rivals which are the strongest v brakes i have ever used and they dont eat the rims up like the shimano brakes.

If you want to get the best and cheap sick brakes get the avid mechanical brakes. (They compare pretty well wtih hydros)

If you want to go hydraulic disc and have the money get magura louise's or hope disc brakes.

I hope this helps!!
