On the Hayes site the adapter for the 6" for the 2000 QR20 has the correct mounting to the fork, but the 8" shows the fork as having disc tabs, which it doesn't have. The adapter must mount directly on the fork lower. |

Jan 9, 2002 12:22 PM | | You need to get the adapter from Marzocchi. I know, it sucks, I had to do the same thing. The 2000 Z1 doesn't ship with the adapter, go figure. If you bought your fork from a dealer, they should be able to order the Marzocchi adapter for you. I got nicked about $25 for mine. Then the Hayes adapter will mount up to the Marzocchi adapter.
