Help......Trek Fuel with Avid Discslaxman1100

I just got a set of Avid Disc Brakes, and the rear disc brake mount does not fit the IS adapter for the caliper. IT is about 1/2 inch short of fitting. I was wondering if there is an adapter for the rear brake? Please help!!!!

Are you talking center to center of the adapter holes, or vertically?

You DO have the adapter that bolts onto the Disc-o mount on your frame, right?

If it's verically, check and make sure you didn't get two front brakes, the adapter for the rear is different than the front.

The mount on the drop out is too small center to center. It looks like the adapter is too big for the drop out. The are F&R adapters.

...from Trek that you need to mount the disc?

I am asking because we have seen people try to use the rack/fender eyelets on the dropouts as disc mounts. No slam intended.

Spar†¡ has put discs on his Sugar and it required a mount from Fisher (Trek) that bolts to the dropout and then you bolt the Avid IS mount to it.
Got the adapter, thanks guys (nm)laxman1100
