| Anybody know the scoop on the Deora M555 hydros? | jacazz Jan 14, 2002 1:56 PM | | I heard they were aimed to compete w/ Hayes?
What's the stopping power like?
Metallic or Organic pads? (couldn't find out on Shimano's web page)
Where's the best deal?
Is the savings over Hayes worth it?
I intend to use them on my geared bike for aggressive trail riding |

I will ask Kyoshi tonight about the pads, but I think they are the same compound as the XT's are, and EBC makes pads for them as well (red, green and gold). They use the same fluid as the XT's, and the lever feel is very firm(I have yet to ride them, but I will try ASAP). The lines are plastic ones like the Magura's and are cut-to-length to fit your bike. The M555's are lighter than the M525's because they are true 51mm IS mount, not the 74mm post mount w/adapter so no extra metal. Let me know if you have any more Q's.

Look on www.comparisonpricing.com, the cheapest set was 229.00. If you want them, I can get them for you and ship them back to you from here (I am in the Air Force, so it will be cheap). Let me know.
