Any opinions are appreciated. I hate to stray from the big "S" on such a crucial component.

And stopping power seems to be on a par with the Shimanos Ive tried.. As always, setup is critical. I guess it depends if youre a fan of the parallel push mechanism, which, despite any theoretical mechanical advantage, just causes slop over time, IMHO.

But if youre paying full retail (I didnt) why not consider the SD7s, which have the same arms, just no ti hardware.
The Avid Tis work better IMHO (nm)?SLR

I had Ti brakes on my last ride and now I run Avid discs. The Ti s worked every bit as good as my XT brakes without the squeal, probably better: I didn't notice the brake fade as much with the Avids (it was the pads). The only advantage I can see to the parallel push is the increased tire clearance when removing a wheel.
