Are all VBrake pads threaded?JR

Kind of a dumb question I guess. I just saw some avid pads the other day and it looked like they were not threaded on the end which makes me wonder how they stay on the brake arms. Maybe my vision is going

...early generation linear pull brakesets (Avid TA III's, Pauls, etc.) used a clamp for the pad post, like all center pull cantilevers did. The threaded type post is by far the most predominate used these days. BTW, where did you see them? They are becoming increasingly harder to find.

No, they were newer pads. Must have just looked at them wrong. I just thought that maybe there was some big thing I was missing.

...they are probably still be made by Avid, KoolStop and others, just rarely seen for sale much any more. They're identical in all respects to the more threaded model, just have a smooth post.
