| What's the scoop on EBC disc brake replacement pads.... | jacazz Jul 9, 2002 5:58 PM | | I'm looking to get a set of the "green" EBC pads for my Hayes Hydraulic brakes. Any reason I shouldn't??
Thanks |

They are holding up well, but I have been riding in mostly dry conditions. Others say they don't last long in the mud. But for the price, they aren't that bad. They also squeal less, and have more friction material thant the stock avid pads. I want to try the gold ones, also kool stop makes pads too. Check out pinkbike.com for that review |

So you really can't go wrong with them. They just offer a different type of compounds fo different situations compared to the stock Hayes which is just one type.
I personally have had great luck with both stock Hayes and EBC. Stock Hayes last forever and work great...EBC's can offer more power or modulation depending on the compound you get.
go with whats cheaper...usually the EBC's are a couple bucks cheaper. Try them out and see how they work for you. |
