Worn rotors?aosty

How can you tell when rotors are worn? One of my rotors is very discolored and a few thousandths of an inch thinner than the other... and has a minor but noticeable "transition slope" between the pad contact area and the rest of the rotor.

i've been wondering the same thing. I understand that rotors wear and need to be replaced on automotive brakes. Is the same true for bike brakes?

I'm sure they do wear and need to be replaced... my question was how can you tell when :)
Just like automotive brake rotors there is a minimum thicknessAndyH

...with bicycle disc brake rotors. Check your Owner's Manual or contact tech support for the min thickness. BTW, you'll need a pair of calipers to properly measure the thickness of the rotor.
