|   Any non-Avid brake pads that'll work with my Avid Mags? | K-Zero
Jul 13, 2002 10:19 AM | | I have Avid Mags which I use for my ceramic rims, and I'm getting tired (not to mention costly) of having to replace the brake pads frequenlty. Are there any other ceramic brake pads out there besides Avid Wrangler that would work with my brakes? I tried XTR pads but they don't fit.

Jul 13, 2002 7:31 PM | | .....with another brand. No, Shimano cartridge pad replacements won't fit Avid, but you can replace the whole unit with any pad you want, cartridge or not. Personally, for V's, I still prefer KoolStop non-cartridge pads.

Also, a seller on ebay, elguapogrande, has been posting a set of Avid Mags every few days for the last couple of months, you may be able to get them a little cheaper there than Supergo. I bought a set from him for $48 (2 pairs). |
