Magura Cult membership?muzza

How do I go about joining the Magura Cult? I wanna be special too... the bike is a 2000 Cannondale SV400 with HS33 rim brakes, today I bought a set of Koolstop red/salmon pads to replace the originals (which lasted 16 months).

My last bike (Giant Warp) had HS33s as well. How good are these brakes??? Although I must say that paying $70AUD for four pads is a bit out there - the last front pads I put into my VFR750 cost the same amount...

I have a bright set of red HS33 Maggies on my rigid, platform pedaled singlespeed Redline (black with red trim). They match perfectly. I love them alot. My Shimano loving friends are jealous. A couple of them are pissed their Hayes Hydros don't feel as good as my maggies. I installed them myself with help from the Magura Cult home page and had very little trouble. They've saved my ass many times. I wish to join the Magura cult and spread the words Marta, Louisa, Clara, Gustav, Julie and of course Maggie to the world!

Mr T(ONGO),

Having satisfied the initial membership criteria (Magura user), please allow me to elaborate on why I should become a MCM:

a) Magura user since 1999, and probably long before that as I've owned a number of KTM and Husquvarna dirtbikes.

b) My first HS33s were fitted US-style i.e. the left lever braked the front wheel (opposite here in Oz). So my introduction to Maggies was thus:

1. ensure plenty of riding mates are on hand for first outing on brand new bike.
2. approach at great speed with intention of performing megaslide with full opposite lock.
3. visit casualty for plaster and stitches, park bike for 6 weeks.

c) Have convinced three people so far to upgrade (or spec on new rides) to Magura (2 x HS33, 1 x Louise). I am slowly changing the world.

d) Mike, I emailed you a coupla years back and you sent me some stickers - they're on my SV400, my helmet, and my '67 Falcon ute (with grunty Windsor 302 : )

Yours in perfect modulation,
Muzza

PS - if this isn't good enough I can freight some Aussie beer over
PPS - can I be 1969?
